Do you do presentations?
Are you someone who does it well or who hates doing it?
Would you be interested to know what constitutes a good Powerpoint presentation?
I attended a workshop, held yesterday and today, on “Presenting with confidence”and picked up some pointers.
You might be interested to know more and thus, I am taking this opportunity to share with you.
So, what is a good presentation?
It would consist of the following:
1) A clear objective to the audience
This means, after the presentation, they will understand ____________.
Fill in the blanks with your objective.
2) Outline of the presentation
At the beginning of the presentation, outline the 3 or maximum 4 focus points that you will be covering so that the audience knows what to expect.
3) Provide linkages
When moving from one point to another point, provide linkages such as “we have covered ABC, now we shall move on to XYZ” so that the audience is able to follow the topics and flow of the presentation.
The above are the basics of a good presentation that was shared during the workshop.
There were more details covered in the workshop.
You can let me know if the above information is useful.
If you want me to share more on what was covered in the workshop, do let me know as well.
Have a great weekend!
